Carl Merten

Carl knew absolutely nothing about farming when he bought the abandoned Landsend Farm property. But he was never afraid to learn new things, and with the help of his devoted wife, Edith, he brought the land back to profitability. Here he's seen with toolbox in hand, about to try and get his Farmall—which is nearly as old as he is—running again so that he can hitch up the honey wagon.
